• Image of Death's Wish

The Old Man and Death is a fable attributed to Aesop where an old man was tired of picking up sticks and called on Death to take him. Death arrived and the Old Man asked him to pick up the sticks, changing his mind. The moral of the story is to be careful what you wish for.

"Death's Wish" is my artist rendition of the tale with a moral that I feel resonates with today's demanding, fast pace society that this painting serves as a reminder that we must ask only that of which is truthful, and value life for what it is in both hard and wondrous times.
